Safeguarding & Prevent
Our Commitment
At Future Connect Training & Recruitment Ltd (FCT Training), we are fully committed to safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of all our learners, apprentices, staff and visitors. We believe everyone has the right to learn and work in a safe, supportive environment — free from harm, abuse, neglect or discrimination.
In line with the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, we also uphold our duty to prevent individuals from being drawn into extremism or radicalisation. Our Safeguarding and Prevent approach ensures that all learners are protected, informed and empowered to reach their potential safely.
What Safeguarding Means at FCT Training
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It means:
- Protecting learners from abuse, neglect or exploitation
- Promoting mental health, wellbeing and equality
- Acting quickly when concerns are raised
- Creating an open culture where everyone feels safe to speak up
We want every learner to feel safe, respected and supported throughout their journey with FCT.
The Prevent Duty
The Prevent Duty is part of the UK’s counter-terrorism strategy. It aims to stop people from becoming involved in extremism or terrorism.
At FCT, we:
- Assess and manage any risks related to radicalisation
- Promote British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, respect and tolerance
- Train all staff to identify and respond to concerns appropriately
- Work closely with local authorities, safeguarding boards and Prevent partners
