A fully funded 16-week government funded program designed to make you job-ready for high-demand cyber security skills that will equip you with the ability to defend systems, enterprises and yourself against cyber attacks is being offered by Future Connect Training on behalf of Hull council.

Learning Modules

This NCFE Level 3 Cyber Security Certificate covers:

• Cyber Security Foundations
  Principles such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, layered defence, and secure network design.

• Threat Intelligence Mastery
  Capture, analyse, and interpret threat data to anticipate cyberattacks.

• Testing, Vulnerabilities & Controls
  Gain practical skills in testing systems, finding weaknesses, and applying controls to strengthen security.

• Incident Response
  Understand how to detect, respond to, and recover quickly from cyber security incidents.

• Legal & Ethical Awareness
  Navigate UK cyber laws including the Computer Misuse Act, GDPR, and best ethical practices.

• Professional Development
  Enhance communication, teamwork, project management, and presentation capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be aged 19 or over.

• Reside in Hull

• Do not already hold a full Level 3 (or higher) qualification in a related field.

• Be able to commit to in blended learning in Hull.

• Be prepared to complete course assessments on time.

• Sessions: 2 per week, each lasting 4.5 hours (total of 9 guided hours per week).
